QEFENGLISH

QEFA (Quality Education For All) is an awarness project on the issue of quality education, made to alarm people about the problems of our school institutions.

Before starting, let's ask ourseleves:

Why do I need to study?

First of all, school makes people aware of their rights and their duties in order to improve social relashionships. In fact at school you learn to stay with people that are outside the family.
Apart from that, school assures you the basics to become a respectful citizen,
Next, school give you a political idea and makes you an active citizen. By stats it turned out that educated electors are 50% more than uneducated ones. In the US, this data grows up to 55%.

So, what are the problems that affect our schools?

The main problem of our institutions is school dropout. It is a serious phenomenon that affects students who live school before gradueted. School dropout is caused by bad school system, geopolitical  or individual problems.

In Europe students who live school are called ELET, which is the acronym of Early Leavers from Education and Training.
From this graph of the Eurostat of 2020, you can see that the situation in Europe is alarming.
9 countries 28 are above the average of the European Union for number of ELET. In addiction there are other countries who haven't reached their target or reducing for 2020.
As if that weren't enough, the pandemic has contributed to increase numbers. When covid arrived, people had to stay at home and the students had to attend the lessons online. This drove them away from the school even more.

THE UN'S GOAL 4

The UN (United Nations) in its 2030 Agenda has added a Goal to help everyone in order to get a sustainable and quality education. This Goal is Goal 4.
For Goal 4 the UN pledges to guarantee equitable education, without disparities by gender, sex, ethnicity or religion. Some targets have been set in order to reach this Goal.

The Solutions

What can we do to reduce the numbers of ELET? Here are some ideas:

-Following other school systems can improve ours. For expample, we could think about following Finnish System. In fact, Finland doesn't only have an ELET badger lower than the average of the UE, but it's also the happiest country in the world and has a school sytem based on judjement which aren't numbers. Finnish government has invested lots of funds in school trought the years and now, the data have reported that the students have an high level of maths, too.
In the major part of Finnish schools, the traditional lessons have been replaced with interative lessons with tablets and computers so as not to carry schoolbags.
School is obligatory from 7 to 16 years old, however most of the children attends it to the end.
In addition, the government offers free schoolbooks and free transports to the school.

-Incite students to practise sport, as it has been demostrated that doing phisical activity isn't only good for your health, but it's also good for your mind. In fact, it helps you to reduce stress and relax your mind, so it keeps you focused on your work. As reported by data, students that took a test after doing phisical education, had better results than students that didn't do phisical education before the test.

-Support schools by giving modern devices in order to have interactive lessons, to help students with disabilities and to save money that would have been spent on school materials, like books, notebooks and stationery.
